We believe that investing in psychological care is an investment in a person’s future. Our goal is to provide thoughtful, evidence-based services with transparency, professionalism, and compassion.
Standard Rate
Our standard international professional fee is 200 EUR per clinical hour. This reflects the specialized training, preparation, and expertise required to provide comprehensive psychological assessment, consultation, and treatment.
At the same time, we also recognize that unexpected hardship can arise, and that, for some individuals and families, our standard professional fee may present a significant barrier to accessing care. Whenever possible and capacity allows, we use a structured sliding scale to offer reduced fees through our Access Fund (see “Accessible Care” below).
Total fees for comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations vary depending on the referral questions, the complexity of the assessment, and the estimated number of testing hours required. During your intake consultation, we will discuss the recommended evaluation plan and provide an individualized estimate before proceeding.
To simplify the administrative process, payment is due prior to each scheduled appointment, unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
The Wellspring is an out-of-network private practice and does not bill insurance companies directly. We do not work with public insurance companies, such as VZP or OZP.
Many of our clients with private health insurance successfully obtain partial reimbursement through their out-of-network mental health benefits, particularly with international insurance providers such as Cigna, Allianz, MetLife, AXA, Bupa, INTER, and others. Coverage varies depending on your individual policy.
Upon request, we are happy to provide invoices, superbills, and supporting documentation needed for reimbursement claims. We encourage you to contact your insurance provider before beginning services to better understand your out-of-network mental health coverage.
If you anticipate seeking reimbursement, please let us know during the intake consultation. We are happy to discuss documentation requirements.
Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. Because assessment and therapy appointments require significant preparation and cannot typically be filled on short notice, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments (“no-shows”), are generally charged the full session fee.
Neuropsychological testing appointments are reserved in longer blocks of time and often involve coordination among multiple clinicians. For this reason, late cancellations of testing appointments are also subject to the full reserved testing fee unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance.
We understand that emergencies and unexpected circumstances can occur. When appropriate, exceptions may be made at the clinician’s discretion.
The Wellspring strives to build a practice that is guided by our values: clinical excellence, equity, compassion, and long-term sustainability. We intentionally serve clients from across the socioeconomic spectrum and are committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based psychological services with the awareness that people’s financial circumstances vary considerably.
To help make specialized psychological care more accessible, we maintain an Access Fund that supports a limited number of reduced-fee appointments for individuals and families experiencing financial hardship.
While we are unable to offer reduced-fee appointments to everyone who requests them, we believe that financial conversations should be approached with the same respect, honesty, and compassion as every other aspect of psychological care.
If cost is a concern, we encourage you to mention this during your initial consultation. We are always happy to have an open and transparent conversation about whether a reduced-fee arrangement may be appropriate. We will work collaboratively to identify a structured fee arrangement that is fair, transparent, and sustainable for everyone involved.
We believe that investing in psychological care is an investment in anyone's future. Every person deserves the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. While we cannot provide every service at every price, we are committed to ensuring that financial circumstances alone do not unnecessarily prevent children, adults, and families from accessing timely, high-quality care.
Clinical excellence and accessibility are not competing values—they are complementary commitments.
Anyone for whom cost would otherwise present a meaningful barrier to care.
We welcome requests from students, trainees, individuals and families experiencing temporary or ongoing financial hardship, and others for whom the standard professional fee would present a significant barrier to accessing care. Because every situation is different, we encourage you to discuss your circumstances with us rather than assume you do or do not qualify.
Simply let us know during your initial consultation call or in your initial inquiry that you would like to discuss reduced-fee options. Together, we’ll explore your circumstances and whether the Access Fund is an appropriate fit and currently has capacity.
None.
We operate on an honor system and trust our clients to represent their financial circumstances honestly. We believe that respectful, transparent conversations are far more meaningful than financial paperwork.
Fee arrangements are guided by a structured sliding scale that considers factors such as financial circumstances, student or trainee status, local cost of living, availability of the Access Fund, and other relevant considerations. This allows us to apply our fee policy consistently while recognizing that each person’s situation is unique.
Absolutely not.
Every client receives the same level of clinical excellence, professionalism, and commitment, regardless of the fee paid.
Access Fund arrangements are reviewed periodically (typically every 6–12 months) or whenever there is a significant change in your financial circumstances. Our goal is to maintain a fee arrangement that remains fair, transparent, and sustainable for both you and the practice.
Yes.
Depending on clinical circumstances and Access Fund capacity, reduced-fee arrangements may be available for psychological assessments, therapy, coaching, and consultation services.
Yes, and we are deeply grateful.
The Access Fund is currently sustained through the practice itself and by clients who are able to pay our standard professional fee. Their investment not only supports the continued growth and sustainability of our practice, but also helps extend specialized psychological services to children, families, students, and individuals who might otherwise be unable to access them.
If you have questions about fees, insurance reimbursement, or whether reduced-fee appointments may be appropriate for your circumstances, we encourage you to discuss them during your intake consultation.
We are committed to approaching financial conversations with the same transparency, respect, and compassion that guide every aspect of our clinical work.
